Terms and Conditions

 Attendance

• Required attendance: Dancers must attend all required classes, practices, and performances.
• Necessary absences: Absences should be reserved for only absolutely necessary reasons, such as illness.
• Consequences: Poor attendance can impact the entire team's progress and may lead to a family being contacted by the director to discuss a resolution. 

Conduct and behavior

• Respect: Show respect for coaches, teammates, staff, and other participants at all times, both in-person and online.
• Disruptive behavior: Talking, playing, or using cell phones during rehearsals is prohibited and may result in a dancer being asked to leave.
• Integrity and role modeling: Dancers are expected to act with honesty, courtesy, and accountability, and to conduct themselves as role models for the team.
• Consequences: Disrespectful behavior or conduct that is detrimental to the team can lead to warnings, suspension, or permanent dismissal.
• Substance abuse: Use of drugs, alcohol, or tobacco is prohibited at any time. 

Attire and hygiene

• Dress code: Follow all dress code requirements, including specific rules for hair, makeup, and dancewear.
• Practice attire: Wear appropriate, clean dancewear to practice.
• Prohibited items: Rules often prohibit items like jewelry, bandanas, hats, baggy clothing, and gum chewing during practice and performances.
• Personal hygiene: Maintain good personal hygiene. 

Financial obligations

• Payment deadlines: Pay all uniform fees, and balances, by the specified due dates.
• Overdue balances: Overdue balances can make a dancer ineligible to perform and may result in penalties.
• Refunds: Note that fees, such as for costumes and choreographers, are often non-refundable. Refunds for competition are not refundable. 

Other policies

• Medical waivers and information: You may need to provide medical waivers and other personal information.
• Promotional use: Be aware that the studio may take photos and videos of dancers and use them for promotional purposes.
• Social media: Be mindful of your behavior on social media accounts, as this reflects on the team.
